About this blog

Translator's Shack is a collection of links, news, reviews and opinions about translation technologies. It's edited and updated by Roberto Savelli, an English to Italian translator, project manager and company owner of Albatros Soluzioni Linguistiche, a team of English-Italian translators, which hosts and supports this blog.

The Life as a PM category, managed by Gabriella Ascari, contains topics that are less technical in nature, but which we're sure will be appreciated by owners of small translation businesses and freelancers.

MemoQ 3.2.17 announced

New build available on Kilgray’s website or, if you enabled automatic update, it will be downloaded and installed in the background. Pleased to see that a bug that we reported is solved.

(You only need the server installers if you are running a MemoQ server. The small download does not contain the SQL Express redistributable.)

Changes in this build include:

— The annoying bug through which extra numbers showed up in the XLS export;
— A long-chased beast in the RTF filter that sometimes changed the font for some sections or characters;
— TTX export from the Server Administrator;
— Import of HTML files with inline tags for alignment.
